Mrs. Mary-Lou Ann Hartney Born in 1933 in Lismore, New South Wales (Australia) Has passed away at 5:00pm on April 2, 2010, at Breaside Hospital, Fairfield, New South Wales At the age of 77
Mrs. Mary-Lou Ann Hartney is the mother of Dr. Christopher Hartney, who is a great friend of the Caodai Overseas Missionary (Australia) Inc., as well as an adviser to the Cao Dai Overseas Missionary (USA) organization. Dr. Hartney is well known for his activities in propagating the philosophy and doctrine of Caodai religion all over the world.
Although Mrs. Mary-Lou Hartney was not a Caodai adept, Dr. Christopher Hartney has agreed to arrange her funeral in Caodai religious tradition, with Caodai rites and customs. The funeral ceremony was held at 9:00am on April 7, 2010 at the Caodai Temple of New South Wales under the supervision and direction of Mr. Nguyen Chanh Giao, Head of Caodai Overseas Missionary (Australia) Inc. The cremation ceremony took place at Rookwood Cemetery.
The Caodai community and friends in Australia, USA, Canada, France, Bangladesh and Viet Nam hereby express their deepest sympathies and condolences to Dr. Hartney and his family in this time of grief and sorrow. Please take comfort in knowing that Mrs. Mary-Lou Ann Hartney is now in God’s kingdom and that the Hartney family has a special guardian angel to watch over from now on.
